Australian GST from 1st July 2018

Australia have now brought in new rules whereby sales of physical goods to consumers in Australia are subject to GST at point of sale. This does not apply to sales exceeding $1,000 AUD, nor where your total turnover applicable to sales to Australia is under $75,000 AUD.

For items sold through ebay (and other marketplaces), the marketplace is responsible for adhering to these new rules and collecting the GST.

The positive side is that at the moment, SellMyRetro does not have enough sales to make us responsible, therefore this makes prices to our users in Australia even more competitive compared to purchasing the same item through ebay, or Amazon
