Description

The Sinclair QDOS Companion is an in-depth guide to the working of the Sinclair QL's operating system, QDOS and how to interface to it when writing machine code, including how to use its multitasking facility and how to link to peripherals.

Written by Andrew Pennell and published by Sunshine Books in 1985, The Sinclair QDOS Companion includes an overview of the Sinclair QL's second processor, the Intel 8049 chip which is used to handle peripheral devices, such as the keyboard and sound, and how to control it without using QDOS.

A useful guide and helpful for those just starting to learn how to program the Sinclair QL in 68000 assembly code, it suffers now from assuming that the system variables would always be stored at $28000 and the screen at $20000 which was not the case in later QL operating systems.
