This is the Sinclair QL puzzle game, Double Block written by François Lanciault for the Sinclair QL home computer and based on the classic TETRIS and now published by RWAP Software under licence.
Rotate and place the various shapes falling from above to complete horizontal lines - horizontal lines are removed from the pit on the screen. However, make a mistake and the lines will start to build up the screen, filling the pit!
Double Block incorporates both an optional two player game (where you play side by side), and an extended block game, with even more complex shapes for you to form into horizontal lines.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GAME REQUIRES AT LEAST 640K MEMORY AND DOES NOT WORK ON THE POINTER ENVIRONMENT / SMSQ/E.
