Set of 5 Gmod2 / Magic Desk compatible cartridges

This is a set of 5 Gmod2 / Magic Desk compatible cartridges. This is an SMD version of my Gmod2/Ocean/Magic Desk compatible cartridge for Commodore 64 (DIY kit). For now, these cartridges are available on a one-off basis: Once they are sold, they will be out-of-stock. These cartridges have been made by hand, but in order to make these cartridges structurally available at this price, I need to have a few 100 mass-produced. Whether I will do or not do this isn't set in stone yet.

The cartridge is functionally equivalent to the DIY version of the cartridge, with small differences:

• A possibility has been added to support 128KB and 256KB flash ROM chips through jumper pads. The cartridges will be shipped with 512KB and ready to use.
• As 128KB/256KB flash ROMs are often 12V, a header to supply 12V externally can be added.
• The flash ROM is the only chip installed in a socket.

Just like the DIY cartridge, this cartridge by default acts as a Gmod2 cartridge and has jumper pads for a Magic Desk mode.

The cartridges can be programmed with the same flash utility as the DIY cartridge, which comes pre-installed in the flash ROM.

The actual cartridge formats supported are Gmod2, Magic desk up to 512KB, Ocean 128KB and 512KB. 256KB Ocean cartridges (which use the C64's 16K cart mode) are not supported and neither are 1MB Magic Desk cartridges.

The cartridge has two mounting holes, which makes it compatible with a range of available cartridge cases. The following C64 cartridge cases are compatible:

• Individual Computers
• The Future was 8-bit
• Protoparts
