Micro ZXpand Minstrel for Minstrel 3 ASSEMBLED

This is an assembled and tested Micro ZXpand Minstrel module ready to plug into a Minstrel 3 computer.

This is only suitable for recent Minsrel 3 boards, V3.5.5 or 3.5.8, which have a suitable pin header next to the edge connector. This uses the mounting holes on the Minstrel 3 board, so is not suitable for use in a ZX81 case as it will clash with the pillars in the case.

Contact me before ordering to ensure you have the appropriate connector and the module can be fitted with the matching connector (pin header or socket). See pictures for details.

This leaves the edge connector free for other uses, such as the Mistrel Expansion Bus (for which there is a matching Kempston compatible joystick module).

The Micro ZXpand Minstrel is specially designed for the Minstrel 3.5.5 and 3.5.8 stand alone build, and will not work with an older Minstrel 3 or any Minstrel 2 or anything in a ZX81 case.

The Micro ZXpand Minstrel adds loading and saving from a microSD card only. No RAM expansion, joystick interface or sound interface as in the full versions.

Various microSD cards have been tested, but as with any things like this, the older, slower and lower capacity the card, the more likely it will work.

A replacement ROM is included for the Minstrel 3 kit.
