Dragon 32 Modern PSU Replacement

This is a simple no-nonsense replacement for the Dragon 32 power supply board.

The board fits in place of the original board and uses two of the original screws to fix it in place.
A 9-way cable connects to the power supply connector on the Dragon main board.

The PSU board accepts regulated 12Vdc on a 2.1x5.5mm centre-positive barrel jack.
DC-DC converters generate the +5V and -5V required by the Dragon. 12V is used directly.

Reverse polarity protection is implemented.

An external PSU is not included.

An unexpanded Dragon 32 will require less than 600mA at 12V PSU so a 1A PSU should be sufficient, although a 1.5A or 2A PSU may be required if you connect a floppy disk interface, etc.

The composite video and audio connections are routed to a 5-pin 180° DIN jack, however no RF modulator is provided.

Installation
Open the top case of the Dragon by removing the four fixing screws from the bottom.
Unplug the PSU connector, remove the four screws holding the original PSU board, and remove it.
Put the Modern PSU Replacement board in place and use two of the original PSU screws to fix it in place.
Plug in the 9-way connecting cable as shown in the pictures.
Replace the Dragon's case and fixing screws.
That's it!

Dragon 64
The D64 requires -12V instead of the -5V rail. If you would like a D64 version please let me know. As yet I have not been able to test this fully as I don't have a Dragon 64.
