Description

The AMYA500Z2 is a professional side extension card for Amiga 500 Classic and Plus which will allow you to use Zorro II cards designed for Amiga 1500/2000/2500/2500UX/3000/4000 with your Amiga 500 (and Plus).

It can be used with a wide selection of HDD controllers, memory expansions, graphics cards and more.

The Standard version includes the minimum components to use your own Amiga power supply while the Full version includes all the components to use an external ATX power supply (not included) to power the Zorro 2 board. The switch from Amiga power supply to ATX power supply is automatic: just turn on your Amiga and the ATX power supply will also turn on only if your ATX power supply was previously set to standby mode. A bicolor LED will show the status of the ATX power supply (RED=standby, BLUE=ATX power supply on).

Full version includes a terminal block that provides all available voltages to power other equipment (note: +3.3V is only available when using an ATX power supply) plus some hard and floppy drives connectors.

!! WARNING: Avoid switching the ATX PSU on or off while the A500 is powered on.!!

Unlike other similar devices you can find on the internet, this card comes with some extra features and tricks. For example, all the power tracks have been strengthened through an extra tinning as well as the presence of an ATX status LED on board (Full version only) and two support feet have also been added, without which the card would remain in suspension and therefore overloading the expansion slot and the PCB of the Amiga.
