This board will allow you to use the keyboard from an Amstrad CPC 464 as a USB keyboard on a modern PC. (It will not let you use a USB keyboard on an Amstrad). 

This can use useful for testing CPC464 keyboards, or to convert a dead machine into a USB keyboard or integrate a Raspberry Pi or other single board computer inside.

The keys are all mapped in the firmware on the board to the most appropriate keys on a modern USB keyboard.

Please note there are several different types of keyboard, check the gallery to ensure yours is the correct type, two 10 way membrane tails, one green, one white.

There are pads on the side of the board to wire in the original LED to light when the USB is plugged in. Soldering is required if you want to do this, the wires need to be desoldered and extended and soldered to the USB keyboard controller. You can skip this step if you do not want to solder or do not need the LED.

This auction is for the built and tested USB keyboard controller board with onboard, a USB A-B lead and mounting pillars. No computer case or keyboard is included.

I am currently in the process of clearing out the stock of built and tested boards I have left. I have no plans to make any more of these USB keyboard controllers.
