PiStorm2K for Amiga 2000

Upgrade your Amiga 2000 with a top-level accelerator PiStorm based on Raspberry Pi.

The Pistorm is a CPU emulator project that uses a Raspberry Pi 3A+ ( not included ) to give you a very fast accelerated Amiga 2000.

Will give you over 25 times(and even more – using Emu68) faster speeds then a stock A500 and gives not only 128mb of ram but also the ability to load kickstart and virtual harddrives from the Raspberry Pi’s SD card.

You will also need a Raspberry pi 3A+ and a SD card.

There are plenty of guides online that shows you how to prepare a SD card, I also can offer some help with that.

Tested and runs “buptest” without errors and also tested on real machine.

Now any WHDLoad Demos, Amiga OS 3.2 and 3.9 can run on your almost stock Amiga 2000.

Note: 8372 Agnus and >=1 Mb of Chip RAM is highly recommended.

Also this board is made from a new project and has BOSS lines on it, so it will be possible to make a upgrades even on hardware side using jumpers. But now such a firmware is not implemented.

Pistorm emulates the CPU and can emulate most Motorola CPU’s used in the amigas, but its recommended to run it as a 68020 for maximum compatability. Even then there will probably be some compatability issues with software and hardware, but the good thing about a CPLD based design is that the core can be updated in the future to make fixes or add functionality.
