This is the full kit to build a Tynemouth Software Minstrel ZXpand for use with the Minstrel 3 computer.
The Minstrel ZXpand adds SD card loading and saving, and also a kempston compatible joystick interface.
This auction is for the full kit of parts. This kit includes the PCB, IC pack, component pack, and nylon mounting pillars. The SD card socket is pre-soldered to the PCB, all other parts are through hole. Includes a socket for the microcontroller only. A replacement ROM is included for the Minstrel 3 kit.
The kits includes the option to solder the Minstrel ZXpand direct to the edge connector of the Minstrel 3. Also included is an edge connector, should you wish to make it removable.
This is the V1.5 version of the board, some of the photos show the older V1.4.
No Minstrel computers are included with the auction, only the parts to build the Minstrel ZXpand.
The Minstrel ZXpand is specially designed for the Minstrel 3, and will not work with a standard ZX81.
