This is the program QTYP II for the Sinclair QL home computer by QJump.

Supplied on 2 x microdrive cartridges (with working and tested backup versions), QTYP is a realtime spelling checker for the Sinclair QL, which runs under the Pointer Environment, QJump's mouse or cursor driven package for controlling jobs running on the Sinclair QL. 

QTYP is quick to run and has a sizeable UK dictionary on the microdrive cartridge.  You can edit the dictionary to add new words, and also have access to various SuperBASIC keywords to communicate with the spell checker in your own program, should you so wish.

In its basic form, QTYP listens in as you type and throws up a warning window when it does not recognise a word (or where a word may have more than one spelling).  You can then either accept an auto-correction, correct it yourself, or add it to the dictionary.

QTYP can also check existing files for spelling once you have created them.

The Pointer Environment
This remains the most popular windowing system for the Sinclair QL home computer. It adds many features to help control multitasking on the Sinclair QL, allowing you to set up hotkeys to perform various actions, switch between jobs without destroying the screen, allocate memory to individual programs (essential to stop Psion programs from grabbing all of the memory) and much more.

Provided in original plastic box, complete with manual and microdrive cartridges.  All in very good condition (maunal has a sheet pasted inside which is the update to v1 of the software, so presumably an original addition!),
