This is an Rare BT Merlin Tonto Dot Matrix Printer, it is in fact a WM100 printer made specifically for the Merlin Tonto all in one computer by Walters Microsystems International Limited. It was marketed by BT as the M1713 printer, compatible with the BT Merlin workstation computer.
It will also work fine with the ICL One Per Desk (OPD) and the Computerphone.
The WM100 is a 9 pin black dot matrix printer, with a serial port and is a clone of the Epson RX80, providing 100 characters per second.
It uses the same print ribbons as the Mannesmann Tally MT80/MT81 printers, which were based on the WM100.
The printer is tested and working, in good condition (somewhat yellowed and dirty). Unfortunately it lacks the BT Merlin badge on the front of the printer (probably fallen off many years ago).
It does however, come complete with:
- tractor feed
- merlin tonto / one per desk (opd) serial cable
- power cable built in
- a ribbon installed (poor) and a replacement ribbon
- some continuous paper
