This is a Mersey Mouse made by the QL Merseyside User Group (QLMUG).

It consists of a small box which connects to the QL\'s microdrive expansion port, and the UK (BT type) CTRL ports (the joystick ports).

The supplied two button mouse then plugs into the 9 pin serial connector on the interface.

The interface then interprets the mouse movements as though you were pressing the cursor keys on the Sinclair QL to move around the screen - compatible with all QPtr programs, such as QPAC2 and PAINTER, but also compatible with non QPtr programs, such as PROFESSIONAL PUBLISHER by Digital Precision.

QPAC2 also allows you to vary the acceleration effect of moving the mouse.

This is the Mark 2 interface.  Normally the left hand mouse button is used for SPACE and the right hand button is used for ENTER.  However, the Mark 2 incorporates a small switch which allows the right hand mouse button to represent the ESC key - useful in Professional Publisher.

As new and unused - this is a rare item, comes in its box (unmarked) and complete with instruction sheets.
